Alpine Sliding

Recently, my dear friend Katherine came to visit from Modesto for about a week and a half, it was SO fun to see her and hang out with one of my favorite chicas de noche! Neither of us had ever ridden the Alpine slide, so we took a beautiful Saturday afternoon to experience a Park City classic. Then, we rode the new Alpine Coaster which was a lot better as it went faster than 5 miles an hour. I think that was ms my personal favorite, Katherine's was riding the "crooked shaft" track on the slide over and over. All in all it was a wonderful afternoon, capped off by the best Bruschetta ever at Red Rock.

Love Birds Bridal Shower

Last week I threw a Bridal shower for my friend, soon-to-be Mrs. Lindsay Gwynn. I hope everyone had a lovely time, it was really fun for me to plan the Love Birds theme. Here are a few shots from the day. My personal favorites are the candids-of course.

Gotta love the Red Butte Pasta Salad

One Year Older and Wiser Too

The past two weeks have been quite eventful. First it was my birthday, then Brody's was 5 days later and then yesterday we celebrated our 1 year anniversary. I can't believe how fast it has gone by! We celebrated with a little picnic in the park where Brody proposed and then he surprised me with a little couples' massage. It was fantastic, I can't believe how lucky I am! These are some pictures we snapped at the park.

This rock is our "landmark" for knowing the exact spot.

What's Happenin' Hot Stuff?

I'm sure you have all heard by now that the legendary John Hughes died of a heart attack. He was only 59.

He was by far my favorite director, screenplay writer, and producer of all time. He is responsible for some of the greatest films of all time including:

  • The Great Outdoors
  • National Lampoon's Vacation
  • Ferris Bueller's Day Off
  • Weird Science
  • The Breakfast Club
  • Sixteen Candles
  • Pretty in Pink
  • Planes, Trains and Automobiles
  • Uncle Buck
  • Home Alone
  • Dennis the Menace

I really was heartbroken when I found out. For many years, I've been wondering when he was going to do another movie. I can't count how many Saturday mornings I remember watching The Breakfast Club on TV with my sisters growing up, or how many times I've quoted his amazing one-liners. He was fantastic and will be greatly missed.

They just don't make them like this anymore...

42 Pages. . .

. . . and counting. I'm writing a book and have 42 pages so far. Hopefully you will all read it someday. Also, I'm already in the thick of Shark Week madness. Love it.

Last week was my birthday and Brody got me the greatest gift one can receive...Photoshop. It's been a good 6 years since I last used it but I've been playing around with it this weekend, here are a couple shots of my sweet little nephew, Connor.
