My dream family room (open to the kitchen) consists of lots and lots of comfy seating, throw pillows, blankets, rounded/tufted corners, and hard-wearing fabrics. Perhaps some built-in storage for the electronics so they can easily be hidden when not is use, and soft, relaxing lighting. A soft rug, an oversize ottoman for the coffee table, and a big-ole, deep-set sectional.
