Update

We are starting to really love life in the city. I can't tell you how wonderful my 8-minute "commute" to work is. Not to mention the free soda fountain at my office (there goes my no diet coke goal). Dupont is an incredible neighborhood to live in. There is always something going on, tons of restaurants and cute little shops, and an amazing farmer's market just off the circle on the weekends. H&M, Zara, Urban Outfitters and a 3-story Forever 21 are a mere two metro stops away and Brody will only have a 15-minute walk or 5-minute bike ride to school. We had our official first glimpse of the presidential motorcade yesterday, and already have callings in our ward. Which we are loving.

We went to Trader Joe's for the first time tonight and I must admit. It is pretty amazing. I was skeptical that it would live up to all the hype, but judging from our half-empty container of INCREDIBLE tomato-basil hummus, I would say we've been converted :)

On a somber note, Brody's grandpa unexpectedly passed away on the 17th and it's been hard not being there for his mom and family and we hope they know how much we love and miss them. We were lucky enough to get to spend a little time with him the day before we left, I know that meant a lot to Brody. His grandpa was always so warm and sweet, and we will definitely miss him!
