In Like a Lamb

The weather last week was amazing, in the 60's and yes even the 70's one of the days. And you better believe Brody and I ate lunch outside on a patio that day, soaking up the sun in short sleeves and loving life. It's giving me a strong case of spring fever, although in the back of my mind there is the ever-looming fact that summer, and all it's disgusting heat and humidity will inevitably follow.  For now, we are just enjoying the sunshine.

Over the weekend, poor Brody was stuck inside working on the journal competition for school. Just your typical, 200-page packet (front and back) that they give everyone Thursday afternoon, which they all have to read, analyze, cite, and write a ten-page-ish paper due on Monday (today). And no, it's not for a specific class, it's just in addition to all their other homework.

Not wanting to distract him, I spent most of Saturday outside, shopping in Friendship Heights where I found some fantastic finds at Nordstrom Rack and TJ's.  Hands down the best place for shoes.  On Sunday, I overcame some MAJOR temptation having to walk through the Farmer's market at Dupont to metro to church. They had an entire booth dedicated solely to cheese.  Farmer's market cheese.
